Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sin título (A. & V. 96.03) by Belkis Ayón was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October last year. The price achieved of USD 5,670.00 (€ 5,707.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Belkis Ayón achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Desobediencia in September last year with an auction result of USD 214,200.00 (€ 218,951.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sin título (A. & V. 96.03) von Belkis Ayón kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.670,00 (€ 5.707,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Belkis Ayón erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Desobediencia im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 214.200,00 (€ 218.951,24).
