Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Yo te di el poder by Belkis Ayón was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in September this year. It achieved a price of USD 30,240.00 (€ 28,571.43), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Admittedly, works by Belkis Ayón have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Desobediencia in September last year with an auction result of USD 214,200.00 (€ 218,951.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Yo te di el poder von Belkis Ayón wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 30.240,00 (€ 28.571,43) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Belkis Ayón auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Desobediencia im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 214.200,00 (€ 218.951,24).
