Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Beauford Delaney was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 57,150.00 (€ 53,641.82). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Beauford Delaney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work James Baldwin in October last year with an auction result of GBP 1,026,000.00 (€ 1,195,278.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Beauford Delaney kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 57.150,00 (€ 53.641,82) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Beauford Delaney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit James Baldwin im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.026.000,00 (€ 1.195.278,64).
