Upper estimate price exceeded by 32 %.
In December 2021 Christies in Paris held the auction Post War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Sans titre by Beauford Delaney. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 23,750.00 32% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Beauford Delaney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work James Baldwin in October last year with an auction result of GBP 1,026,000.00 (€ 1,195,278.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 32 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans titre von Beauford Delaney zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 23.750,00 und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Beauford Delaney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit James Baldwin im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.026.000,00 (€ 1.195.278,64).
