Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Beatriz Milhazes achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in April 2021. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Piquenique (Picnic) sold for USD 15,120.00 (€ 12,568.58) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Beatriz Milhazes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Meu Limão in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 2,098,500.00 (€ 1,612,990.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Beatriz Milhazes erzielte im April 2021 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Piquenique (Picnic) für USD 15.120,00 (€ 12.568,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Beatriz Milhazes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Meu Limão im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.098.500,00 (€ 1.612.990,01).
