Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2016 Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | NY, which included the work Sydney 98 by Beat Streuli. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,449.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Beat Streuli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ohne Titel (Junge Frau in weißem Shirt; aus USA-Serie), which sold at auction in June 2015 for EUR 8,925.00.
