In February 2020 Christies in London held the auction First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online, which included the work USA 95 by Beat Streuli. The result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,318.00) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Beat Streuli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ohne Titel (Junge Frau in weißem Shirt; aus USA-Serie), which sold at auction in June 2015 for EUR 8,925.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Februar 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit USA 95 von Beat Streuli zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.318,00) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Beat Streuli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ohne Titel (Junge Frau in weißem Shirt; aus USA-Serie) beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für EUR 8.925,00 versteigert wurde.
