Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Barbara Kruger achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2017. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Untitled (Can Money Buy You Love?) sold for USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,274.83) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barbara Kruger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Your Manias Become Science) in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 1,170,000.00 (€ 1,036,590.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Barbara Kruger erzielte im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Can Money Buy You Love?) für USD 47.500,00 (€ 42.274,83) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Barbara Kruger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Your Manias Become Science) im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.170.000,00 (€ 1.036.590,77).
