Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Arshile Gorky was auctioned at Christies in New York in December 2020. The price achieved of USD 237,500.00 (€ 194,194.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Arshile Gorky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Charred Beloved I in November this year with an auction result of USD 23,410,000.00 (€ 21,461,312.80).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Arshile Gorky kam im Dezember 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 237.500,00 (€ 194.194,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Arshile Gorky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Charred Beloved I im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.410.000,00 (€ 21.461.312,80).
