In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern Day Auction, which included the work Escena lacustre I, Granada Harbor by Armando Morales. The »bidding war« ended at USD 25,200.00 (€ 23,483.37), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Armando Morales achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cuatro Bañistas En Canal De Plantación in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 982,000.00 (€ 929,748.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Escena lacustre I, Granada Harbor von Armando Morales zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 23.483,37) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Armando Morales erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cuatro Bañistas En Canal De Plantación im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 982.000,00 (€ 929.748,15).
