Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Omaggio Del Quattrocento (Homage To The Quattrocento) by Antonio Gattorno was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in June 2020. The price achieved of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,163.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antonio Gattorno - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Waiting for the Coffee Fragment of Bacardi Mural, which sold at auction in June 2007 for USD 120,000.00 (€ 88,757.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Omaggio Del Quattrocento (Homage To The Quattrocento) von Antonio Gattorno wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.163,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Antonio Gattorno mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Waiting for the Coffee Fragment of Bacardi Mural beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für USD 120.000,00 (€ 88.757,40) versteigert wurde.
