Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Zanana, Galician Boy by Antonio Gattorno. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,651.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Antonio Gattorno have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Waiting for the Coffee Fragment of Bacardi Mural in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 120,000.00 (€ 88,757.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Zanana, Galician Boy von Antonio Gattorno zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.651,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antonio Gattorno auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Waiting for the Coffee Fragment of Bacardi Mural im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 120.000,00 (€ 88.757,40).
