Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mujer En La Ventana by Antonio Gattorno was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in June 2020. It changed hands for a price of USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,485.80) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antonio Gattorno - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Waiting for the Coffee Fragment of Bacardi Mural, which sold at auction in June 2007 for USD 120,000.00 (€ 88,757.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mujer En La Ventana von Antonio Gattorno wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.485,80) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Antonio Gattorno mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Waiting for the Coffee Fragment of Bacardi Mural beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für USD 120.000,00 (€ 88.757,40) versteigert wurde.
