Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Antonio Gattorno could be acquired at Christies in New York in November 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin American Art auction, the work The Star Fisherman changed hands for USD 31,250.00 (€ 26,264.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antonio Gattorno - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Waiting for the Coffee Fragment of Bacardi Mural, which sold at auction in June 2007 for USD 120,000.00 (€ 88,757.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Antonio Gattorno konnte im November 2017 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin American Art wechselte die Arbeit The Star Fisherman für USD 31.250,00 (€ 26.264,92) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Antonio Gattorno mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Waiting for the Coffee Fragment of Bacardi Mural beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für USD 120.000,00 (€ 88.757,40) versteigert wurde.
