Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2005 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Esmond In Mask by Anthony Devas. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 600.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 660.00 (€ 974.37). Admittedly, works by Anthony Devas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reclining Nude in January 2009 with an auction result of GBP 7,820.00 (€ 8,802.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Esmond In Mask von Anthony Devas zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 660,00 (€ 974,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anthony Devas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Reclining Nude im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.820,00 (€ 8.802,69).
