Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2005 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Changing Rooms At Norman Hartnell'S Fashion Show I And II by Anthony Devas. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,680.00 (€ 2,480.21). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anthony Devas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Reclining Nude, which sold at auction in January 2009 for GBP 7,820.00 (€ 8,802.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Changing Rooms At Norman Hartnell'S Fashion Show I And II von Anthony Devas zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.680,00 (€ 2.480,21) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Anthony Devas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Reclining Nude beobachtet, die im Januar 2009 für GBP 7.820,00 (€ 8.802,69) versteigert wurde.
