Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2010 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Anne Ryan for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,876.65). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Morning Session at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Anne Ryan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (No. 234) signed 'A. Ryan' (lower right); signed again, titled and dated 'No. 234 3-5-49 A. Ryan' (on the backing board) printed paper, string, metallic paper, watercolor, ink and glue collage on paper 7 x 5½ in. (17.7 x 13.9 cm. in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 22,500.00 (€ 17,572.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2010 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Anne Ryan für USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.876,65) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Morning Session bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anne Ryan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (No. 234) signed 'A.
