Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash: Featuring Artists of the South of France, which included the work Fantasia by Anne Ryan. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,402.50 (€ 1,188.56), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anne Ryan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (No. 234) signed 'A. Ryan' (lower right); signed again, titled and dated 'No. 234 3-5-49 A. Ryan' (on the backing board) printed paper, string, metallic paper, watercolor, ink and glue collage on paper 7 x 5½ in. (17.7 x 13.9 cm. in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 22,500.00 (€ 17,572.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash: Featuring Artists of the South of France durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fantasia von Anne Ryan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.402,50 (€ 1.188,56) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anne Ryan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (No. 234) signed 'A. Ryan' (lower right); signed again, titled and dated 'No. 234 3-5-49 A.
