This artwork by Anne Ryan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in June 2016. In the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Untitled (#591) sold for USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,625.82) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Anne Ryan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (No. 234) signed 'A. Ryan' (lower right); signed again, titled and dated 'No. 234 3-5-49 A. Ryan' (on the backing board) printed paper, string, metallic paper, watercolor, ink and glue collage on paper 7 x 5½ in. (17.7 x 13.9 cm. in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 22,500.00 (€ 17,572.63).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anne Ryan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (No. 234) signed 'A.
