Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Anne Brigman could be acquired at Christies in New York in April 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Rythm sic changed hands for USD 1,292.50 (€ 1,422.05) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anne Brigman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flame in April 2000 with an auction result of USD 18,800.00 (€ 20,684.34).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anne Brigman konnte im April 2000 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Rythm sic für USD 1.292,50 (€ 1.422,05) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anne Brigman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flame im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.800,00 (€ 20.684,34).
