The »bidding war« ended at GBP 64,275.00 (€ 75,848.21), 29% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alina Szapocznikow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portret Wielokrotny (Dwukrotny) [Multiple Portrait (Double)|AID1113401] in May this year with an auction result of USD 907,200.00 (€ 851,511.17).

Die Arbeit Untitled (From Expansion Series) von Alina Szapocznikow wurde im April 2013 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 64.275,00 (€ 75.848,21) und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alina Szapocznikow erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portret Wielokrotny (Dwukrotny) [Multiple Portrait (Double)|AID1113401] im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 907.200,00 (€ 851.511,17).
