Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Artcurial held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Lampe phallus (Lampe XIII) - circa 1970 by Alina Szapocznikow. The price achieved of EUR 367,360.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alina Szapocznikow - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portret Wielokrotny (Dwukrotny) [Multiple Portrait (Double)|AID1113401], which sold at auction in May this year for USD 907,200.00 (€ 851,511.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lampe phallus (Lampe XIII) - circa 1970 von Alina Szapocznikow zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 367.360,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Alina Szapocznikow mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portret Wielokrotny (Dwukrotny) [Multiple Portrait (Double)|AID1113401] beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für USD 907.200,00 (€ 851.511,17) versteigert wurde.
