Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2014 Artcurial held the auction Post War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Bouche-Bague by Alina Szapocznikow. It changed hands for a price of EUR 6,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alina Szapocznikow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portret Wielokrotny (Dwukrotny) [Multiple Portrait (Double)|AID1113401] in May this year with an auction result of USD 907,200.00 (€ 851,511.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2014 führte Artcurial die Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bouche-Bague von Alina Szapocznikow zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 6.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alina Szapocznikow erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portret Wielokrotny (Dwukrotny) [Multiple Portrait (Double)|AID1113401] im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 907.200,00 (€ 851.511,17).
