Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2014 Christies in Paris held the auction Art Contemporain, which included the work Bague Bouche by Alina Szapocznikow. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 12,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alina Szapocznikow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portret Wielokrotny (Dwukrotny) [Multiple Portrait (Double)|AID1113401] in May this year with an auction result of USD 907,200.00 (€ 851,511.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2014 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Art Contemporain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bague Bouche von Alina Szapocznikow zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 12.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alina Szapocznikow erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portret Wielokrotny (Dwukrotny) [Multiple Portrait (Double)|AID1113401] im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 907.200,00 (€ 851.511,17).
