Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gold In The Morning by Alfredo Jaar was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in July 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 8,860.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alfredo Jaar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Refugee (Water) in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 56,721.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Gold In The Morning von Alfredo Jaar wurde im Juli 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 8.860,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfredo Jaar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Refugee (Water) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 56.721,50).
