Auction result well in line with expectations
The work One Hundred Times Nguyen by Alfredo Jaar was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March 2020. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,666.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfredo Jaar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Refugee (Water) in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 56,721.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit One Hundred Times Nguyen von Alfredo Jaar kam im März 2020 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.666,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfredo Jaar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Refugee (Water) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 56.721,50).
