In the Contemporary Art Online | New York auction, the work 3 Couples sold for USD 93,750.00 (€ 84,043.03) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alfonso Ossorio have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nevertheless in May last year with an auction result of USD 604,800.00 (€ 563,600.78).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfonso Ossorio erzielte im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York wurde die Arbeit 3 Couples für USD 93.750,00 (€ 84.043,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfonso Ossorio auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nevertheless im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 604.800,00 (€ 563.600,78).
