Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Phillips in London held the auction Contemporary Art Part II, which included the work Hocus-Pocus by Alexander Sitnikov. The price achieved of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 17,526.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Sitnikov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Temptation, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 30,500.00 (€ 42,707.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hocus-Pocus von Alexander Sitnikov zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 17.526,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Sitnikov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Temptation beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 30.500,00 (€ 42.707,89) versteigert wurde.
