Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, Including Russian and Latin American Art, which included the work Concerto No. 1 by Alexander Sitnikov. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,813.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alexander Sitnikov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Temptation in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 30,500.00 (€ 42,707.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art, Including Russian and Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Concerto No. 1 von Alexander Sitnikov zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.813,37) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexander Sitnikov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Temptation im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.500,00 (€ 42.707,89).
