In November 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work The Muses by Alexander Sitnikov. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,510.96) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Sitnikov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Temptation, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 30,500.00 (€ 42,707.89).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Muses von Alexander Sitnikov zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.510,96) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Sitnikov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Temptation beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 30.500,00 (€ 42.707,89) versteigert wurde.
