Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art including Latin American and Russian Art, which included the work Dream Of An Unrealized Still Life by Alexander Sitnikov. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 21,250.00 (€ 16,756.03). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Sitnikov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Temptation, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 30,500.00 (€ 42,707.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art including Latin American and Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dream Of An Unrealized Still Life von Alexander Sitnikov zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 21.250,00 (€ 16.756,03) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Sitnikov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Temptation beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 30.500,00 (€ 42.707,89) versteigert wurde.
