A top price for Akim Monet - as previously expected
The work Cave Cathedral by Akim Monet was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November 2006. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,600.00 (€ 4,977.00) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Cave Cathedral is the most expensive artwork by Akim Monet that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Cave Cathedral von Akim Monet kam im November 2006 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 6.600,00 (€ 4.977,00) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Cave Cathedral das teuerste Kunstwerk von Akim Monet, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
