Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Domus Adriani (Hadrian's Alexandrian Gardens) by Akim Monet for GBP 688.00 (€ 777.56). This price was achieved in the auction Evening & Day Editions at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Akim Monet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cave Cathedral in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 6,600.00 (€ 4,977.00).
