Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Word and Will by Adrian Piper was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October 2018. The price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,860.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adrian Piper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Decide Who You Are #22: Field Work in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 110,394.77).

Die Arbeit Word and Will von Adrian Piper kam im Oktober 2018 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.860,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adrian Piper erzielen.
