Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Phillips in New York held the auction AFRICA Theme Sale, which included the work Forget It by Adrian Piper. The price achieved of USD 750.00 (€ 606.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 600.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adrian Piper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Decide Who You Are #22: Field Work in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 110,394.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion AFRICA Theme Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Forget It von Adrian Piper zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 750,00 (€ 606,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 600,00 – 900,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adrian Piper erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Decide Who You Are #22: Field Work im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 110.394,77).
