Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Une Mare (Jennings 19; Curtis & Proute) by Adolphe Appian for USD 120.00 (€ 94.59). This price was achieved in the auction Prints and Multiples at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adolphe Appian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Plage De Collioure in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 26,000.00.
