Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Chairman Mao, 2000 by Zhang Hongtu for USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,246.75). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Online at Sothebys in Online and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Hongtu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shen Zhou - Van Gogh #2 in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 1,440,000.00 (€ 137,117.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Chairman Mao, 2000 von Zhang Hongtu für USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.246,75) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online bei Sothebys in Online erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Hongtu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shen Zhou - Van Gogh #2 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.440.000,00 (€ 137.117,37).
