The work Shen Zhou - Monet No.4 by Zhang Hongtu was sold in the 20 Century and Contemporary Chinese Art auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2013. It achieved a price of HKD 322,000.00 (€ 30,556.13), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 61%. Admittedly, works by Zhang Hongtu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shen Zhou - Van Gogh #2 in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 1,440,000.00 (€ 137,117.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 61 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Shen Zhou - Monet No.4 von Zhang Hongtu wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion 20 Century and Contemporary Chinese Art bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 322.000,00 (€ 30.556,13) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 61%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Hongtu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shen Zhou - Van Gogh #2 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.440.000,00 (€ 137.117,37).
