Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Wu Hong - Van Gogh by Zhang Hongtu. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,447.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhang Hongtu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shen Zhou - Van Gogh #2 in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 1,440,000.00 (€ 137,117.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wu Hong - Van Gogh von Zhang Hongtu zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.447,69) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Hongtu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shen Zhou - Van Gogh #2 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.440.000,00 (€ 137.117,37).
