This artwork by Zhang Hongtu achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2014. In the 20th Century and Contemporary Chinese Art auction, the work Dong Qichang: Cezanne #2 sold for HKD 460,000.00 (€ 47,358.34) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Hongtu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shen Zhou - Van Gogh #2, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 1,440,000.00 (€ 137,117.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 84 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Hongtu erzielte im Oktober 2014 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century and Contemporary Chinese Art wurde die Arbeit Dong Qichang: Cezanne #2 für HKD 460.000,00 (€ 47.358,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 250.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Hongtu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Shen Zhou - Van Gogh #2 beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 1.440.000,00 (€ 137.117,37) versteigert wurde.
