This artwork by Saitō Yoshishige achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2008. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Black sold for GBP 43,250.00 (€ 54,949.61) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Saitō Yoshishige have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Work in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 353,000.00 (€ 334,217.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Saitō Yoshishige erzielte im Juli 2008 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Black für GBP 43.250,00 (€ 54.949,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Saitō Yoshishige auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Work im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 353.000,00 (€ 334.217,00).
