Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Forest´s Curtain by Yehudit Sasportas was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,848.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Yehudit Sasportas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Last Name - Diptych in December 2013 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 49,894.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Forest´s Curtain von Yehudit Sasportas kam im Mai 2009 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.848,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yehudit Sasportas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Last Name - Diptych im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 49.894,77).
