In November 2014 Phillips in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Y. Z. Kami. The »bidding war« ended at USD 37,500.00 (€ 30,149.54), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Y. Z. Kami have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Maryam) in November last year with an auction result of USD 153,720.00 (€ 148,910.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im November 2014 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Y. Z. Kami zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 30.149,54) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Y. Z. Kami auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Maryam) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 153.720,00 (€ 148.910,20).
