Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Endless Prayers by Y. Z. Kami was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,502.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Y. Z. Kami achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Maryam) in November last year with an auction result of USD 153,720.00 (€ 148,910.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Endless Prayers von Y. Z. Kami wurde im Juni 2016 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.502,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Y. Z. Kami erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Maryam) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 153.720,00 (€ 148.910,20).
