In September 2011 Christies in New York held the auction First OpenPost-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Self-Portrait as a Child by Y. Z. Kami. The »bidding war« ended at USD 68,500.00 (€ 50,933.15), 71% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Y. Z. Kami - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Maryam), which sold at auction in November last year for USD 153,720.00 (€ 148,910.20).

Im September 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First OpenPost-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Self-Portrait as a Child von Y. Z. Kami zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 68.500,00 (€ 50.933,15) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Y. Z. Kami mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Maryam) beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 153.720,00 (€ 148.910,20) versteigert wurde.
