Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Three Works: i) A6, ii) B3, iii) D4 (from the disCONNEXION series) by Xing Danwen was auctioned at Phillips in London in February 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,382.40). Admittedly, works by Xing Danwen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Urban Fiction 3 in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,136.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Three Works: i) A6, ii) B3, iii) D4 (from the disCONNEXION series) von Xing Danwen im Februar 2009 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.382,40) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xing Danwen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Urban Fiction 3 im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.136,29).
