Auction result misses estimated price range

In July 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Disconnexion Series (D_01), 2002-03 by Xing Danwen for USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,562.79). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Online: NYC at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Xing Danwen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Urban Fiction 3 in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,136.29).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im Juli 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Disconnexion Series (D_01), 2002-03 von Xing Danwen für USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.562,79) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online: NYC bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xing Danwen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Urban Fiction 3 im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.136,29).
