Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Duplication by Xing Danwen was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. The result of HKD 30,000.00 (€ 2,846.84) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xing Danwen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Urban Fiction 3 in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,136.29).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Duplication von Xing Danwen wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 30.000,00 (€ 2.846,84) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xing Danwen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Urban Fiction 3 im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.136,29).
