Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Born With The Cultural Revolution by Xing Danwen for USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,770.19). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Asia at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xing Danwen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Urban Fiction 3, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,136.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Born With The Cultural Revolution von Xing Danwen für USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.770,19) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Xing Danwen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Urban Fiction 3 beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.136,29) versteigert wurde.
