Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wyatt Kahn could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Silver Fox changed hands for USD 47,500.00 (€ 40,209.94) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wyatt Kahn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sideways, which sold at auction in October 2014 for GBP 122,500.00 (€ 156,414.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wyatt Kahn konnte im September 2017 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Silver Fox für USD 47.500,00 (€ 40.209,94) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wyatt Kahn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sideways beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für GBP 122.500,00 (€ 156.414,80) versteigert wurde.
